Sue has worked at AFS for over 10 years in an administrative role.  Prior to this Sue worked in sales at Auto Windscreens before going on to helped manage their specialist glazing department call centre and the day to day running of the team of technician.

Mike started as a financial adviser at Abbey Life in 1984.  He was an adviser for 34 years. A career highlight was managing the two Premier League and Football League pension schemes for 10 years.  He joined AFS in 2022 as a paraplanner.

HOW WE GET PAID

Initial Meeting

Your initial meeting with us is free and without obligation. This allows us to establish your needs and goals, and how we might assist you.  We also discuss how we will be paid for future work we carry out on your behalf.

Our charges are based on the amount of time spent working for you by the financial adviser and our support staff. We endeavour to use appropriately skilled staff to conduct all work undertaken.

Our fees can either be deducted from the product being arranged, or you can pay us directly. You can even pay by a combination of the two. The choice is yours.

Ongoing Advice and Financial Reviews

Our fee is used to cover the cost of an annual review meeting and any work resulting from the review, for example, rebalancing your portfolio of investments. We also provide access to your personal financial adviser and regular summaries which set out the value of your investments and pensions. For ongoing financial planning, we typically charge a 0.5% annual fee*.

No Catches, No Hidden Fees!

We endeavour to ensure that your will always understand what the charges are and why they are being made. We feel that our approach is refreshing, clear and transparent.

* Based on a fund value of £100,000, an ongoing charge of 0.5% of this amount would mean that it would cost £500 per annum to provide an ongoing service (£100,000 x 0.5% = £500).  If the fund value increases over time, the ongoing charge then increases accordingly.
